Love Month

Do you know how I like celebrating Valentine's Day?

I like to remember what true love is.

True love is more than chocolate and flowers.

But, you knew that.

True love is more than a romantic night out.

True love is even more than kisses and hugs.

True love is Charity.

The Bible defines Charity as the pure love of Christ.

Charity can be felt whether you are married, single, widowed or divorced.

In fact, has no connection to marital status at all.

Charity comes from the Lord and is for all people.

The best thing about Charity is that you can feel it in your heart, no matter what time of year it is.

Charity is more than donating to good causes (although that is a wonderful thing to do).

It is a gift from God, to help us see others has he sees them.

To help us love others as he does.

And loving as God loves, well that's what this life is all about.

When you love another like God does, you love them for who they are, and who they may become.

It fills your heart. It makes your heart grow.

The best example of Charity is the Lord himself.

He gave all he had, because he loves us.

So, perhaps this February, instead of looking for a Valentine, the chocolate, and flowers, perhaps we can look to the Lord, and ask him to show us what real love is.
